Saorim receives a visit from Po, a Cambodia Trust community development worker. Both Saorim and Po have been affected by polio.
Saorim is a young client of the Cambodia Trust. She regularly attends the Trust's rehabilitation centre in Kompong Chhnang to have her braces repaired or replaced. Through our community-based rehabilitation programme, Saorim also receives help so she can attend school, giving her a better chance of future employment.
Cambodia has one of the world’s largest disabled populations, including an estimated 43,000 landmine survivors and 50,000 people affected by polio.
